I enjoyed my trip in April 2018 so much that I returned in July with other friends. Villa de la Luna has all the amenities and special touches you require when on a vacation. The staff is lovely and so welcoming and accommodating. The villa itself does not disappoint, neither does the Infiniti pool and glorious view. Waking up to Howler monkeys in the trees is a plus. The food served is scrumptious and the drinks are bottomless. Book now. You won’t regret it
What a wonderful time we have had here at your beautiful villa. We have made wonderful memories, spent time relaxing (which our family greatly needed) and was introduced to some great people. We will take a part of your staff home with us. They will hold a special place in our hearts. They have worked very hard to make our stay pleasurable. From the great food, to clean laundry, to cocktails by the pool. GRACIAS! Oh yeah! Let’s not forget Leslie. He made our stay here come together. The driving was always adventurous. What a nice guy. He seems to be a hard worker and always wanting to do the right thing. Thank you very much!
Where do I begin? We loved every minute of our stay at Villa De La Luna. Karissa was very helpful before we left, answering my many questions and helping me get our dates situated. Our group size fluctuated a little due to my son not being able to stay for the entire trip. We had 6-7 the 10 days we were there. Kojakc picked us up when our late night flight arrived and whisked us to the house where there was lasagna and salad waiting for us in case we were hungry (which we were!) Amazing!
The house:
Plenty of bedroom/bathroom space. View is spectacular! Outdoor space is huge. Plenty of room to lounge, rock and float. Bar area is nice and has 1/2 bath. It is on quite a steep hill with beach at the bottom of the road. The walk down, not too bad. The walk back was not so easy if you are out of shape. My kids had no problem with it!
The staff:
Awesome! Socarrita made the most delicious food every day, we never had the same thing twice and got to have some great traditional Costa Rican dishes. Allison, her daughter, was so sweet and helped her out. Marita very quietly and stealthily kept our rooms immaculate and clothes clean. Kojakc came and explained all of our trip options and planned and coordinated everything for us. He told us all about the area, culture and Costa Rican heritage. He loves his country and it shows! His happiness is infectious.
The excursions:
We did a lot. For us this was a once in a lifetime trip and we wanted to do it all! We did the horseback/zip line/hot spring trip, deep sea fishing, ATV tour, Boat day with s snorkeling/jet ski/beach, safari ride, and sloth, monkey tour. Our favorites were the boat day and ATV tour. The boat day was on a private yacht. The staff was great and made us lunch, took us snorkeling and took us into caves before tide came in. The ATV tour was so fun! We saw monkeys in the trees and got to see a waterfall that we could swim in and jump into! It also included a stop at an organic farm. Either Kojakc or Jeremy took us on our tours. We enjoyed learning from them and getting to know both of them!

This week in Costa Rica has been wonderful! Each day was filled with so much beauty and adventure.
I want to thank you for your help arranging our stay at Villa de la Luna. Our flight went smoothly. Leslie was there to meet us at the airport and the staff were there to greet us at the Villa. The food and service could not have been any better. We stayed at the Villa most of the time, as we went to relax. We did go on the Adventure Tour and fishing. We enjoyed the Canopy adventure. The fishing was great – We caught eight or nine Yellow Finned Tuna and a few Bonita.
We will ask that anyone interested in a trip to Costa Rica contact you.
Just go ahead and book your stay at Villa de la Luna, you won’t regret it!
I began planning my trip to Costa Rica in August 2017 and from that moment up until the day we checked in Karissa has been extremely patient and informative. I travelled with a group of eight people who can sometimes be hard to please and now they are wondering when we are going BACK!
The villa staff was absolutely amazing, super nice, very helpful and they made each of us feel special. Shout out to Freddy the bartender/waiter who never let our glasses go empty and who remembered each person’s dietary needs. He is extremely organized and so much fun!
The chef and her daughter created the best dishes ever and we tore up our nightly snacks of guac and chip – I know I gained all of the weight that I lost prior to this trip but it was well worth it.
Finally, the experiences that Kojack pulled together were WONDERFUL. My number one advice is to trust Kojack for he knows exactly what he is doing. All you need to do is tell him your desires and he will handle it.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say, NOTHING!!! Thank you so much for this experience.

The Zip line excursion along with horse riding, mud baths, etc. was better than any I have ever taken. And a great sit down meal to boot! We went kayaking, deep sea fishing (Bruce caught a 90 pound rooster fish!) and jet skiing.

An unbelievable experience from arrival to departure. The pre trip plan explained by Karissa was carried out exactly as she described. With 5 beautiful master bedrooms we had more than enough room for the 6 adults we had in our group.
The staff treated us like family. The food was 5 star and easily one of the best parts of the trip. The pool and view was better than the pictures. The staff keeps the home in immaculate condition. Kojakc helped us plan our week with excursions and transportation and was very accommodating, professional and friendly. A once in a lifetime trip that we are already talking about doing again !

What a taste of paradise! Our week here has been more than spectacular. The accomodations were beautiful. The food was AMAZING. The drinks were continuous and delicious. We lacked for nothing all week and were treated like royalty by all. Good think we all have jobs to get back to, otherwise we’d never leave.
This was the best trip ever. The 10 of us loved every moment here at Villa de la Luna. Chema took care of all of our needs and more! Soccorito cooked every meal with love – so delicious! Thank you so much to all of the staff that made this vacation an unbelievable experience.
Villa de la Luna is a special place filled with special people that make your stay something you will always cherish. We just returned from our trip and wish we were going back tomorrow. Our party was 10 adults and we were more than comfortable.
We are grateful for our time at Villa de la Luna and being spoiled by this outstanding staff. Excursions were great, massages were great and our favorite spot out at the infinity pool was truly relaxing. Thank you to all of you at Villa de la Luna. We hope to return soon!
The house and views were even better than we expected! Everything was perfection – from the wonderful staff, the comfortable beds, the delicious food and drinks to the location. We were a group of 5 women and it was amazing to wake up every morning to the views of the infinity pool overlooking the ocean dotted with boats. We could even hear the ocean from the house. We had a spa come to the house and got massages on the balcony, which was bliss.
Freddy kept us hydrated with lots of drinks and he couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. Soccarito made delicious, plentiful meals and was able to adapt to some dietary restrictions among our party. Having our clothes washed every day was also a treat – you really need to bring very few clothes. To sum it up, this was an amazing vacation and we can’t wait to go back!

We spent the last week in June at Villa de la Luna with our family of 11 – – 6 adults and 5 children and teenagers, to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. I’d been looking for a destination that would be stress free for ME, with everything included. When Villa de la Luna appeared on my FB page, I wondered if it was authentic. Let me tell you, it IS!!! It’s everything they say and more.
The house itself is wonderful, with comfortable beds, privacy, the beautiful pool. But what makes this a 5-star location is the staff. Socarrita prepared the most unforgettable meals, beautifully presented. Even our pickiest children loved them. I’d love to spend a week with her as a chef-in-training! She prepared a beautiful anniversary cake for us and another to surprise our youngest granddaughter’s birthday. Socarrita’s daughter, Allison is her assistant and interpreter, always with a smile. And Marita quietly went about cleaning, washing our clothes every day, and delivering them to our rooms neatly folded.
Kojakc is the man with all the knowledge about excursions. He arrived the afternoon of our first day to talk with us about planning our week. The favorites were the horseback riding/zip lining/mud baths, snorkeling from the Don Bosco, trip to the national forest to see sloths, riverboat trip to find monkeys and crocks. We took two trips to town shopping, driver provided, and we all had massages at the villa on the upper deck our last day there. Suggestions for your trip: Don’t take too many clothes. Marita kept them clean, and you’ll only need 2-3 outfits for variety.
The Costa Rican people were so friendly, and the those working at the excursions were respectful, professional, and caring (helping this 70-year old woman up on the horse and hooking me up to the zip line cables!!!!). And I must not forget the howler monkey families who lived in the trees right outside our windows!
We arrived at Villa de la Luna as strangers and departed as familia. Truly the trip of a lifetime ❤️❤️
Need to find a place to rest, relax and take in nature? This is the place! With the sprawling layout each guest has total privacy and exceptional views of water water water. Fully staffed with housekeepers, cooks and BARTENDER! Our trip has just begun and many great memories already in place!
Well, not sure where to begin…to say we had a blast on our trip would be the understatement of the year! What a majestic place; both the house and the country!
Everything from the views, the food, the beds, the people…we canopy’d, fished, rafted, surfed, hiked, ate, drank Imperial, PURA VIDA!!!! Kojack was great, and the staff of Freddy, Soccoro, and Lina were all great. Thanks again for being so helpful…we will def. be back to Playa de Coco again!

What a treat! Thanks for the opportunity to experience Costa Rica. We all need to learn from the locals – laid back is good. The view is spectacular. It was everything you said it’d be – and more!! It was the best vacation we ever had. The Costa Rican country side is beautiful. We went on some great tours – Leslie (or those he set us up with) were the best, really informative.
The house was absolutely beautiful. The pool was awesome. We all have so many pictures of the pool – couldn’t get enough of it. The house staff was absolutely the BEST!! Leslie, Carlos, Mackensie, Socorro and Lina are now like family to us. They saw to our every need – and were so much fun to be with. We actually could have stayed at the house and been perfectly happy! We thank you for having a place like the Villa de la Luna. It was perfect for our family vacation – and we can’t wait to go back.
I can tell you that it has taken us a while to get back in the “swing” of things after such a delightful week in Costa Rica.
First of all, THANK YOU for the Mariachi band – it was a hit and everyone certainly enjoyed having a little culture come to the party. We danced all night. It was such pleasant treat.
Let me also tell you how wonderful the accommodations were. The views, the food, the pool, but best of all was the service from Kojak (he is a rock star in our book), Lina, Abraham and Dona Julia… they are all so wonderful!!! It was hard to leave them… they certainly made our trip complete.
I don’t think any of us knew we would fall so in love with the people of Costa Rica. We did it all – Zip line, Spa, massages by the pool, mani, pedis, horseback riding on the beach, surfing, fishing, sunsets, mud baths, water slides… and there is so much more we kept for the next trip.
I think Rob’s 50th was a great success and one he will never forget. We built some great memories with friends and the locals.
